Chocolate does make the world go round
My working day tends to be demanding. I freelance for several web and creative agencies, as well as my own clients, who keep me busy with a constant flow of varied web design and development projects. On any given day I might be coding something tricky, designing a web page layout, showing a client how to use WordPress, adding products to an e-commerce site, putting a website live, doing my accounts… deadlines are constantly juggled, there are always last minute changes and everything of course is urgent!
I love working for myself but some days are so chaotic they leave my head in a spin, so I can’t get by without my paper diary and pretty notebooks. Despite being a digital girl I find writing things down and keeping my diary open in week view on my desk keeps me on track. Since I started using a paper diary a year ago I’m so much more organised, online to-do lists and apps just never worked for me.
I also always have a large bar of 85% dark chocolate on my desk just as a little pick me up and I’m sure it makes me more productive. If you’re in any doubt, google “benefits of dark chocolate” and you will find evidence that it improves brain function, yaay!
